This kit combines Basic Plate Arms with 5-segmented pauldrons. Together, they protect the forearms, elbows, upper arms, shoulders, and upper side gaps. As a result, you get better coverage when hits come from the side, from above, or from behind.

We use hardened spring steel 65G for both parts of the kit. The arms use 1 mm (0.04 in) steel with reinforced 1.2 mm (0.05 in) elbows. Also, the pauldrons use 1 mm (0.04 in) steel with a stronger 1.2 mm (0.05 in) main segment.

The extended elbow design helps close the gap between the vambrace and biceps. This matters in real buhurt because side hits often land exactly there during grappling and chaotic mass battles.

The 5-segmented pauldrons move with your shoulders instead of locking them down. So, you can raise your arms, work with a shield, clinch, and recover after a fall with less restriction.

Overall, this set gives you solid upper-body coverage without killing mobility. It works well for beginners building a first serious kit and for experienced fighters who need durable protection for regular training.

How should I take the measurements for my arms armor?

General Recommendations for Measurements for Arms Armor:

Clothing: Measurements should be taken wearing the gambeson you intend to wear with the armor. Sweaters or jackets will not accurately reflect the thickness of the gambeson and could lead to ill-fitting armor.

Bare Arms: If you are ordering both arms and padding together, measuring your bare arms is acceptable. However, please clearly indicate on the measurement sheet that the measurements are for bare arms.

Measurements: Take all measurements with a flexible measuring tape, snug but not tight.

Additional Notes:

  • If your gambeson has any unusual features that might affect the fit of the armor, please describe them in the notes section.
  • For best results, have someone else take your measurements.
  • Feel free to include any other measurements you think might be helpful, such as elbow circumference.

Required measurements:

A. Weight: Measure your weight in kilograms or pounds.

B. Height: Measure your full height from head to toe.

M. Wrist Circumference: Measure above the gambeson, not on top of any leather straps.

N. Forearm Circumference: Measure the fullest part of the forearm.

    I just received my shipment in yesterday and am beyond impressed! The attention to detail for this set far exceeded my expectations. I was originally worried about how the articulation would be, especially at the elbows, and how it would fit my arms overall, as it was my first set for buhurt. However, after a quick try on after opening up the armor and attaching the arms to my gambeson, it was an exact fit, especially the pauldrons. Lastly, the care taken for shipment overseas, and the timely deliver could not have been better as it came just in time for several events in the upcoming month. I cannot recommend this item enough!
