Titanium Buckler [35 × 35 cm] is the larger version of our popular 30 cm (11.8 in) titanium buckler. The increased size gives your shield hand and forearm more coverage while keeping the compact handling that makes a buckler effective in armored combat.

This version works especially well for sword-and-buckler duels, where the extra coverage helps with active defense, parries, and controlling your opponent’s weapon at close range.

The main difference from the 30 cm (11.8 in) version is simple: you get more shield in front of you. Those additional 5 cm (2 in) increase the protected area around your hand and forearm. Therefore, the 35 cm version gives you more margin when catching and redirecting strikes.

That extra coverage is particularly useful in sword-and-buckler fighting. During fast exchanges, you constantly move the buckler between attack lines while working with your sword. As a result, a slightly larger surface can make defensive positioning more forgiving without moving to a full-size shield.

However, this is still a compact buckler. The 35 × 35 cm (13.8 × 13.8 in) profile leaves plenty of room for sword work, body movement, and close-range exchanges. So, you keep the maneuverability that makes this shield type useful in the first place.

The main surface and umbo use 1.5 mm (0.06 in) VT1 titanium. In addition, the inside features 1.5 mm (0.06 in) OT4 titanium reinforcement. The handle uses thicker 1.8 mm (0.07 in) OT4 titanium to handle the loads generated during active shield work.

Finally, a leather wrist strap provides an additional fixation point. Together with the rigid handle, it helps keep the buckler stable during parries, weapon contact, pushes, and rapid changes of direction.
