Description

Nikolskoye Slavic helmet, type IV according to the typology of A.N.Kirpichnikov.

Made of hardened spring steel 30 HGSA.

The helmet for late XII – XIII-th centuries.

It was found in 1866 near the village of Nikolskoye, Oryol Oblast

The helmet is battle ready and includes:

  • chainmail riveted aventail
  • hidden face protection
  • internal padding
  • chin straps
  • neck and shoulders protection plates
