Meet new Brigandine type “Wimbledon”.

The armor is fastened on the fighter in front with the help of straps and plates are placed horizontally with a large overlap.

This is a distinctive feature of Wimbledon, due to this design armor are fitted to the body, it’s suits well, and perfectly protects you. All plates of this brigandine are enlarged compared to the medieval ones. Thus strike is distributed over a larger area of body armor and loses its power.

The plates we made of titanium or hardened spring steel that’s light and reliable.

Thickness: from 0.8mm in front to 1.5mm on the back.

This is especially important, because the brigandine is the heaviest part of the armor and this way you can make your equipment lighter of 2.5-3 kg comparing to mild steel.

Also, unlike the historical analogue, we made the body protection longer and added an extra plate to close the tailbone. This helps armor better protect the hip joint in combat, especially when you are bending or wrestling. The brigandine plates are riveted with leather softening on the cloth base. So they will not tear the cloth, and “Wimbledon” will serve you longer. The base is made of a layer of wool and lasting tarpaulin, glued together, for greater durability.
