Description
Carolingian Sword Type 6 Three-Lobed Pommel
Carolingian Sword Type 6 Three-Lobed Pommel is a battle-ready sword based on proven 8th–11th century designs. Built for armored combat, it gives you solid control, fast handling, and reliable performance in duels and group fights.
- Full length: 90 cm (35.4 in)
- Blade length: 72 cm (28.3 in)
- Cross-guard: 11 cm (4.3 in)
- Handle length: 10 cm (3.9 in)
- Balance point: 11 cm (4.3 in) from the guard
- Weight: 1.41 kg (3.11 lbs)
- Handle: Anti-slip leather wrap
- Edge: Blunted and rounded for armored combat
The balance point close to the guard gives better control in fast exchanges. That matters when you need to recover after a strike, change your angle, or stay stable during grappling.
The blade is blunted and rounded for armored combat rules. It keeps the sword safer for tournaments while still delivering effective impact through armor.
The three-lobed pommel is not just historical style. It improves counterbalance and grip stability, especially during long rounds when fatigue starts to build.
- Fast recovery between strikes
- Stable handling in close range
- Reliable grip with gloves or sweaty hands
- Balanced feel for beginners and experienced fighters
- Built for duels, training, and mass fights
This sword type was widely used across Europe, with a strong presence in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Its design evolved from earlier Merovingian blades and stayed effective for centuries for a reason.
Whether you are entering your first tournament or upgrading your kit, this sword gives you a dependable, competition-ready option. Add it to your kit and feel the difference.

Good protection!
Love it
Love my new swords
Great gauntlets
Love it
Fantastic boots!
Very expensive. Love the look and the scabbard is very nice but for the price the finish of the blade is a bit rough. Machine marks and pitting in the metal is present along the entire blade and on the guard.
Little pricey but amazing fit and finish and balance
Finish is uneven and splotchy but I personally like the way it looks a lot
