Description

Anatomical Ultralight Sabatons

The updated edition of our bestselling ultralight sabatons is here—now pointier, sleeker, and even lighter.

Designed specifically for armored combat, these sabatons offer superior mobility without compromising on protection. Whether you’re a buhurt brawler or tournament duelist, foot injuries are a common and painful reality—until now.

Specifications:
  • Material: Hardened Steel 65G / Titanium
  • Thickness: 0.8–1 mm
  • Weight: 0.725 kg (Titanium pair), 1.2 kg (Hardened Steel pair)

Constructed from hardened steel 65G or titanium, these sabatons are engineered to absorb impacts from misdirected sword blows, accidental stomps, or low strikes that slip past your defenses. Don’t wait until injury forces your hand—protect your feet before the damage is done.

The titanium version weighs only 725 g per pair—a huge advantage when the rest of your armor weighs over 30 kg. You’ll move faster, stay agile, and stay safe. Thanks to their design, you can stomp, sweep, or apply footwork tactics with confidence and reduced risk of injury.

These sabatons are low-profile, ultra-mobile, and fit well over most types of medieval footwear. Built to last. Designed for action.

I recently received a pair of boots and sabatons from Medieval Extreme, and overall, I’m very impressed with the quality and performance.

The craftsmanship is outstanding. Everything is well-made and fits exactly how it should. The fit was precise, almost like a glove, which is exactly what you want with new leather work. As expected, they arrived very stiff, thick, and uncomfortable at first, which is normal for high-quality leather. I went through about three rounds of mink oil treatment and made sure to break them in during high-intensity interval training sessions and while practicing on the pell. After about two weeks, they broke in extremely well.

By the time I used them in my first fight, the difference was clear. My mobility was not compromised at all; if anything, it improved. The grip on the ground was excellent and gave me much more confidence in movement and stability during exchanges.

This was my first time ordering from them, but my team captain strongly recommended Medieval Extreme and mentioned it is the only place he goes for his boots, which says a lot.

One thing I also want to highlight is their communication. Even though they are clearly very busy, they do respond. In my experience, you can expect a response within about 24 hours. I reached out to Mykola several times for updates, and he was always responsive and professional. That matters, because there are armorers out there who will go silent for a week or two, which is frustrating and unprofessional; that was not the case here. However they manage their production process, they maintain solid communication throughout. When you are waiting on gear for upcoming tournaments, that level of responsiveness makes a big difference.

One important note is the production time. I placed my order on September 3 and received it in February. Another teammate received his in about a month, so timelines can vary quite a bit. I strongly recommend asking upfront about current lead times and queue before ordering. The product is absolutely worth it, but planning ahead is critical so you are not left without boots for an extended period.

Overall, excellent quality, excellent performance, and great communication/customer service; highly recommended.
