Phantom Gauntlets for Armored Combat combine full steel hand protection with an open-palm design built for weapon control. We designed them with a narrower wrist and reduced bulk around the cuff, making them especially practical for fighters who prioritize mobility in duels.

The open-palm construction gives you more direct contact with the weapon handle. As a result, you get a more secure and natural grip when striking, blocking, or changing weapon position.

The thumb uses a semi-closed design with 1.2 mm (0.05 in) hardened steel. This adds protection to one of the most vulnerable parts of the hand while keeping enough movement for reliable weapon control.

We also reinforced the knuckle area to 1.2 mm (0.05 in). Meanwhile, the remaining 1 mm (0.04 in) hardened steel plates keep the gauntlets strong without adding unnecessary weight.

The narrower wrist is one of the key features of the Phantom design. It gives the hand more freedom to move, which matters during fast duel exchanges and close weapon work.

There is intentionally no padding around the cuff. Therefore, the gauntlet creates less bulk where it overlaps with your vambrace. This reduces interference between your hand and arm protection and allows the wrist to move more freely.

The gauntlets come with hand padding already installed, so you do not need to build a separate padded glove setup before your first fight.

How to take measurements for the gauntlets?

A, B and F – are measurements for the gauntlets required to make them or find out the right size.

Gather your tools:

• Paper
• Pen
• Flexible measuring tape

Step 1: Trace your handprint:

Lay your hand flat, fingers relaxed. Carefully outline your entire hand, including fingertips and wrist.

Step 2: Palm length:

Grab the measuring tape and measure the straight line from your middle finger’s tip to your palm’s base at the wrist. This is your palm length (A).

Step 3: Knuckle width:

Using the outline you drew on the paper in step 1, measure the straight-line distance across the knuckles (B).

Step 4: Palm circumference:

Keep your fingers relaxed and together. Wrap the tape snugly around your knuckles This is your palm circumference (F).

Pro tips for perfect sizing:

• Dominant hand: If one hand is larger, mark it for specific size checks.
• Size up: When between sizes, opt for slightly larger measurements for the gauntlets
