The Floating Brigandine Legs set includes brigandine cuisses with floating knees and brigandine greaves, giving you full coverage from thigh to ankle. Designed for both buhurts and single combat, this universal model balances reliable protection with excellent mobility.

Protection and Mobility

The brigandine construction uses many long overlapping plates riveted to a strong fabric base. As a result, your legs remain protected from all sides while allowing natural movement for running, grappling, and kneeling. In addition, the overlapping plates absorb strikes more effectively, helping them “hold the punch” in mass battles.

Reinforced Knee Design

The segment knee cops are reinforced with side petals and floating plates above and below. Therefore, they cover the common weak spots between thigh, knee, and shin armor. The riveted straps also ensure the knees stay in place even under pressure. Moreover, the greaves extend coverage down to the ankle bones with extra side plates.

Durability and Practicality

Each plate is painted black to protect against rust, while the dual-layer base (canvas inside, wool outside) makes the set both durable and historically inspired. Furthermore, leather straps allow for quick adjustments, and the entire set folds easily for transport. As a result, these brigandine legs are practical for both tournaments and training.
