Complete leg protection for medieval combat. The Floating Splinted Legs combine splinted cuisses with hardened steel knees and basic splinted greaves into one reliable set. Designed for buhurt fighters, this bundle gives you full thigh, knee, and shin coverage with floating plates to close the gaps and keep mobility high.

- Cuisses: 5.44 kg (12 lbs) hardened steel / 4.35 kg (9.6 lbs) titanium
- Greaves: 2.56 kg (5.64 lbs) hardened steel / 2.05 kg (4.51 lbs) titanium
- Plate thickness: Cuisses 1 mm (0.04 in), knees 1.5 mm (0.06 in), knee sides 1.2 mm (0.05 in), greaves 1 mm (0.04 in)
- Material: Hardened spring steel 65G or Titanium VT1-0
- Knees: Always hardened steel, riveted with wide leather straps
- Cover: Durable wool and linen canvas
- Attachment: Leather arming point on cuisses for lendenier lacing
- Extra safety: Floating knee plate covers the gap above the greaves
The floating knees are riveted to the cuisses with wide leather straps, allowing mobility while protecting the joint from heavy strikes. Additional floating plates close the gap between knee and greave—a common weak point in combat. The splinted design ensures strength without sacrificing movement, while the greaves add side ankle protection against low strikes.

Love the helmet, sturdy but not too heavy. I haven’t used it yet but I definitely feel well protected when wearing it. I had been looking for a helmet with a simple design like this one, I looked at all the other major Buhurt sites and just so happened to see this pop up on Medieval Extreme. It was the right price with availability. It even shipped within two weeks of ordering it.
