Meet the new Bascinet of Alexander with the brass cross.
The bacinet helmet is based on the iconography in “The Romance of Alexander ” – French (1338-44).
Specs:
- The main part of the helmet is made of 2.5 mm hardened (tempered) steel.
- The visor is made of 1.5 mm hardened (tempered) steel and reinforced with a 1 mm cross made of brass.
- It is supplied with chin straps, padding, and padded aventail.
- The visor is openable and fixed with leather straps.
- Stylish and reliable helmet for medieval combat.

Why these are better than the other gauntlets:
– no straps between your palm and the weapon, giving superior grip. This means less effort to hold onto weapons over many fights and harder to be disarmed.
– leather on cuffs extends past the metal. Makes them easier to repair and increases comfort with short vambraces.
Also well made, with deep pockets for ends of fingers and thumb
